Overview
The role will lead and develop cycling training programs for individuals or groups, based on their fitness level, goals, and cycling experience. Provide guidance and support to the participants during the training and offer corrective feedback to help them achieve their objectives. Responsible for designing and implementing new cycling programs, providing nutrition and sports-related advice, maintaining equipment, and attracting new clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver customized training programs for members, focusing on safety, and motivational techniques.
- Identify and implement new trends, techniques, and technology to improve cycling programs and member performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members and ensure their needs are always met.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials and promotional efforts to increase awareness and participation in cycling programs.
- Maintain a safe and clean cycling environment, following company policies and procedures regarding cleaning, maintenance, and safety.
- Design and teach Indoor Cycle Master Classes and Programs.
- Build Group Class Clientele attendance and monitor performance.
- Delivering Sport-specific classes may target different goals, including active recovery, cycling cardiovascular and muscular endurance, tempo training, lactate threshold training, VO2 max training, anaerobic training, neuromuscular power, or muscular loading for strength conditioning, or similar.
- Design and create a cycling class plan suitable for all levels.
- Monitor all sessions and report accordingly to the Fitness Manager / Head Trainer
Experiences & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sport, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Cycling Master Trainer.
- Minimum 7 years as a Personal Trainer.
- Boxing and Bootcamp qualifications/experience preferable.
- Highly skilled instructor who delivers correct music mapping, motivational cueing, and visualization techniques.
- Experience in Cycling-specific training and general fitness conditioning.
- Experience teaching cycling group exercise classes that target endurance and interval training methods – cardiovascular endurance and fast glycolysis or lactate threshold training.
- Good Understanding of Muscular loading and strength conditioning - balancing the training methods used to create the Fitness income.
- Cycle programming and understanding of implementing class format that targets different training methods to develop varied fitness outcomes.
- Experience in Client Health and Fitness assessments / Postural analysis
- Experience in monitoring and managing client improvement.
- Experience in working individually or with a group.
- knowledge and adherence to safety protocols and procedures during training sessions.
- Exceptional Cycling Programming and Presentation Skills.
- Knowledge / Experience with Spivi advantageous (Preferred).
- Excellent communication and coaching skills as a Master Trainer.
- Adaptable mindset with different cultures.
- Proficiency in English Language (Writing, Speaking and reading)
